This novel describes the lives of the members of a family with their ups and downs. From the refugee grandparents who fled Asia Minor after the exchange of populations, to the German occupation, as far as the Millennium. Humble people who managed to climb up thanks to their honesty, principles, dignity, but not without obstacles and hardships. It includes, however, many descriptions of places both Greek and foreign with a lot of humour and self-sarcasm as well as recommendations and advice from her life-time experience to young and elderly people alike for continual effort, persistance and optimism.
